lumecca ipl - Achieve More with Less

Lumecca IPL has been optimized to treat different types of skin lesions in faster and more effective ways with fewer treatment sessions. After just a single treatment session, you will be able to see noticeable improvement in your skin clarity and complexion.

Unlike many other intense pulse light devices that may require as many as six to eight treatments to deliver visible results, with Lumecca IPL you can achieve deeper, more extensive and natural looking outcomes in just one to three sessions.

BENEFITS OF LUMECCA SKIN REJUVENATION

Lumecca improves the appearance of the skin including:
● Age spots (red/brown pigmentations)
● Sun damage
● Vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, leg telangiectasias)
● Rosacea (redness)
● Freckles

LUMECCA™ HOW IT WORKS

Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. These often include the face, neck, decolletage, legs, hands and arms.

During treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.

Lumecca Overview + FAQ

WHAT STEPS MUST BE TAKEN BEFORE THE PROCEDURE?

Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks prior to treatment.  IPL cannot be done on tan skin, this includes any form of spray tan.  Use of topical products in the area to be treated such as Retinol and AHA’s must be avoided 7 days prior to treatment.  Prescription topicals must be avoided 14 days prior to treatment.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING AND AFTER LUMECCA?

During treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterward the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?

An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session and multiple sessions provide even better results, depending on the nature of what is being treated.  Treatment programs depend on the severity of skin damage, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings. Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one use, patients notice significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of the skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?

Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the face, neck, décollete, legs, hands and arms.

HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after approximately 2 weeks. For vascular treatments such as spider or leg veins, results can be seen immediately and up to 2 weeks.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Most do not experience any side effects and any skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. You may find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment. It is necessary to avoid direct sunlight 3 weeks post-treatment.
